The third workshop of the project "Use of Joint Investigation Teams (JIT) to fight Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans at the local level (JIT THB WB)" will take place from 15 to 17 April in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Following the workshops in Slovenia (from 10 to 12 December 2013) and Croatia (from 11 to 13 March 2014), the local/regional-level law enforcement officials and prosecutors from Bosnia and Herzegovina will gather in Sarajevo, Bosnia in Herzegovina. The workshop will start on 15 and close on 17 April.

The goal of the workshop again is to present to the local practitioners from Bosnia and Herzegovina the concept of Joint Investigation Team (JIT), existing national and international legislation and the requirements for its establishment. Presenters and lecturers will also explain the role and potential forms of cooperation and support from Europol and Eurojust agencies. Again, a case study will be conducted in order to provide the participants with basic practical knowledge regarding JIT formation and its role in a more efficient fight against trafficking in human beings.

Some 40 experts from the prosecution and the police are expected to attend the workshop.
